Cross-linked polyethylene foam is an aesthetically pleasing material that provides a wide range of performance benchmarks. Cross-linked polyethylene foam has many of the same characteristics as conventional polyethylene foam except that cross-linked polyethylene foam has the capacity to protect class “A” surfaces.
In addition to fabricating cross-linked polyethylene foam to custom designed specifications, New England Foam stocks cross-linked polyethylene foam in bun, roll and sheet forms, in densities ranging from 2 to 4 pounds per cubic foot (PCF) and those colors most requested: black & white. Additional densities and colors are also available upon request, as well as UL94/HF1 compliant and anti-static cross-linked polyethylene foam.
Cross-linked polyethylene foam, also known as PEX or XLPE, is a flexible, closed-cell type of polyethylene foam that has a near-infinite amount of applications due to the following characteristics: |
