  Furniture Foam

Furniture foam is the most widespread material used in the upholstery industry today thanks to its functional and aesthetic appeal. Furniture foam is available in a variety of grades, densities and firmness. This variety provides furniture foam designers with the autonomy necessary to design furniture foam systems with custom levels of comfort, support and/or durability. Furniture foam can be manufactured to meet both indoor and outdoor performance requirements.

The combination of design, construction and materials will determine the cost of each furniture foam system. Therefore, it may be more suitable, more affordable and provide more comfort to adhere a thin layer of low-density furniture foam to a thick, high-density layer of furniture foam rather than simply using a single cushion made of high-density furniture foam.

In addition to fabricating furniture foam products to custom designed specifications, New England Foam stocks furniture foam in bun, roll and sheet forms, in densities ranging from 1.8 to 2.6 pounds per cubic foot (PCF) and those colors most requested: white and green. Additional densities and colors are also available upon request, as well as California Technical Bulletin 117 (Cal 117) compliant furniture foam.
