Foam Types
ETHAFOAM*: Closed-Cell Polyethylene Foam. Extruded or laminated in planks and rolls 2# to 9# per cubic foot densities. Generally used for packaging because of its excellent shock absorption qualities.POLYETHER FOAM: Low-cost polyurethane foam. Good cushioning, acoustics and packaging properties. Ideal for toys and cosmetics.
POLYESTER FOAM: Densities ranging from 2# to 6# per cubic foot used in packaging, cushioning, acoustics and gasketing, toy and case inserts.
VOLARA*: Cross-linked polyethylene foam, densities ranging from 2# to 12# per cubic foot. Manufactured in rolls, used for gaskets, flotation devices, medical products and protective padding, colors available.
FILTER FOAM: Typical uses; air conditioning, humidifiers, ceramic filter production, small engine filters, medical products, fuel tank baffles, multi-stage filters and many other applications.
FILTER FOAM: (Fine porosity) 80-100 PPI grades are soft and pliable. Excellent for cosmetics, sound absorption, clean room wipes and medical devices.
FELT: Used for sound deadening, vibration dampening, stamp pads, ink rollers, fuel oil filters, high-tech packaging, particle filters, compressive gasketing.
PYRELL®: Polyester foam available in 2# and4# densities with fire retardant properties to meet UL-94 HF-I specifications, for gaskets, padding materials and acoustics.
P.V.C. FOAM: Closed cell vinyl foam, pliable and soft used in gasketing to prevent water transmission.
